Joe Burrow on the Vikings, The White House in Cleveland, In-N-Out’s in New York: Cities Should be Able to Include ANYTHING In Professional Sports League Trades

I love NFL Free Agency. I love big signings. I love small signings. I love cuts. I love mock drafts. I love real drafts. However, more than anything, I LOVE trades. Trades ROCK, and the only thing better than a trade is a BIG trade. You throw a big name in that Adam Schefter tweet notification and I am not focusing on anything for the rest of the day.

With this being said, I want more. I want WAY bigger trades. Cross-Sport trades, cross-ANYTHING trades. Cities should be able to trade anything, everything, and everyone in their city elsewhere for what would be a valuable return.

For example, if Cincinnati wants an NBA team, they should be able to acquire one via trade. Sure, it may be a high asking price, but everything should be on the table. What would it cost to acquire let’s say the Minnesota Timberwolves? The Timberwolves would be relocated to Cincinnati and become the Cincinnati Timberwolves.

The Timberwolves are pretty good right now, a top team in the West with an extremely promising rising star in Anthony Edwards where there is no ceiling on how good he can be. For their entire franchise (roster, staff, history, money, etc.) I think they would ask for quite a bit here, most likely a Joe Burrow to be reunited with his LSU teammate Justin Jefferson to be an automatic NFL Super Bowl contender for the next 10+ years. Who says no? As a die-hard Bengals fan but also a man who loves basketball I honestly don’t know which side I would want here.

While we’re at it, why stop at just sports teams and players as trade assets? Maybe New York wants In-N-Out to finally expand East and into New York. How about a Giants 2025 3rd round pick sent to the Chargers in exchange for one of their In-N-Outs? Seems pretty fair to me.

Washington is tired of being the worst sports city in the nation? No problem. Maybe we can change that by sending the White House and the President of the United States to Cleveland Ohio in exchange for Myles Garrett.

Oh, LeBron James is looking to capitalize on his final years and win one more championship? Let’s make this ring a lock with a blockbuster trade and send out Universal Studios Hollywood to Atlanta in exchange for Trae Young and Sadiq Bey.

Billy Ray Cyrus has lived in Nashville for years. Not anymore, The Titans need a new running back. Nashville will trade Billy Ray Cyrus to Denver in exchange for Javonte Williams.

I can go on and on. This would be absolutely bananas. Nothing is off the table. How much would it take to trade for Patrick Mahomes? Is that even possible? Would Kansas City trade Mahomes to New England in exchange for one of their past Super Bowl Titles?
