I can’t take it anymore.
For 2 full days now, nothing but rumors of Cincinnati trading for Justin Jefferson have surfaced my timelines. In my head I know this would never happen. You just don’t see trades like this happen, especially when your team already has a top-3 reciever in the league in Jefferson’s college teammate Ja’Marr Chase.
BUT.
This trade makes TOO MUCH SENSE. I feel like every possible domino that would have needed to fall for an LSU reunion in Cincinnati, has indeed fallen.
- Tee Higgins asking for a trade
- LOTS of money moving and hesitancy to throw out long-term deals in free agency so far
- Joe Mixon being traded for MORE money saving
- Justin Jefferson turned down a $30 MILLION contract from the Vikings prior to last season’s start
- The Vikings current Quarterback is SAM DARNOLD
The most tortorous part of this whole thing are former/current Bengals throwing wood on the fire.
This started with former Bengals Tight End, Tyler Eifert (who is still close with the organization) putting out these tweets yesterday:
These were followed by cryptic tweets from the man closest to Justin, the former Batman to his Batman, Ja’Marr Chase.
Now obviously none of this is serious information on if this is real, but the cryptic tweets egging it on, ESPECIALLY from Ja’Marr are driving me insane and giving me hope for some reason.
Imagine an endzone of Ja’Marr Chase, Mike Gesicki, and Justin Jefferson all hitting the griddy as Cincinnati Bengals. Give them whatever they want. I can’t take it anymore. Please stop giving me this hope.
